Each year in the first weeks of May, Canada’s capital city of Ottawa celebrates the Canadian Tulip Festival because the tulips have become an important symbol of international friendship in Canada. The beautiful tulip blooms announce the arrival of Spring, too.

Canadian Tulip Festival at the first year of the third millennium  
In the picture serials you can see the Tulip Explosion in front of the Pavilion Dows Lake and the Festival’s parade on water with decorated boats traveling the Rideau Canal in Ottawa. The decorated flotilla arrives at the end in the Pavilion Dows Lake.
