Gatineau Park is a superb nature reserve, a very nice and beautiful park with 363 square kilometers that is sited at the northwest of Canada's Capital Region in Quebec.
The forests containing abundant wildlife: 52 species of trees, 17 species of amphibious, 54 species of mammals, 40 species of fishes, 237 species of birds, several species of ferns, many thousand of species of invertebrates, reptiles, several hundred of angiosperms and more, inhabit the Park. (Visitors Center of Gatineau Park, 2000).
When you are walking on the trails, sometimes you can meet Wood frogs (Rana sylvatica), Green frogs (Rana clamitans), Woodchuk (Marmotta monax), Racoon (Procyon lotor), American beaver (Castor canadensis), White-tailed deer (Odocoileus noctivagans), Green heron (Butorides virecens) and others species of wildlife.

Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival
Since 1988 this annual festival that scheduled on the first days on September welcomes close to 150 balloonists from several countries from the world as Holland, Switzerland, Brazil, France, Spain, England, United States and Canada.
