| Giant's Trail begins at the
parking lot 11at O'Brien Beach on the Meech Lake.
The Giant's Trail are the trails numbers 36, 50 and Cowden
Road and the loop has 16 Km. Very good exercises!!!!
On this trail you have several points of interest as the waterfall
at Carbide Willson’s ruins, Rourke’s
Clearing, Hope House and Capuchin
Chapel. See the map.
When you are walking on the Giant's Trail you are standing
on the one of the Earth's oldest geological formation. Although
we still may found a few White Pines in the area, most have
now been replaced by the majestic Maple because the wood of
the white pine forests was exported during the Napoleonic
wars. |
