Frontenac Provincial Park is situated
in the East of Ontario on southern arm of the Canadian Shield
to 25 kilometers north of Kingston. It has 52 square kilometers
and 170 kilometers of very nice trails. There are very beautiful
landscapes, lands of rocks and lakes with vast wetlands and mixed
forests.
In Frontenac Provincial Park there are a good variety of wildlife.
Botanist are identified about 700 vascular plants and some rarely
species of several plants as "species of ferns sedges,
mosses and orchids". There are about 25 species of mammals
and about 170 bird species. There are several species of snakes,
turtles, frogs, insetcs and fishes in the lakes.
The Arkon Lake Loop has 13 Km and the trail bisects Bufflehead
Trail.
